I’m an early childhood special education teacher, ELA content specialist, teacher mentor, parent coach, wife, toddler mom and a chocolate addict.
I envision an equitable school system that values building genuine relationships, provides all students access to learning, and celebrates diversity. I am passionate about a holistic approach to behavior modification in which connection is valued over compliance and behavior is seen as communication.

With a dual Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Columbia University paired with over 10 years of professional experience, I consider myself an expert on advocating for and empowering young children. I am here to help you do the same for yours.

My experience as a mother of an autistic child has been challenging at times but I must say my son has been blessed to have such a phenomenal teacher throughout his beginning stages of school. Samreen has been a phenomenal educator and second mother to my son. She showed me ways to continue supporting his growth outside of the classroom which has helped him in his social, emotional and educational journey. She is caring to all of her students and their families as she encourages her students to be their best and pushes them to achieve their highest potential.
