PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I am a passionate Educational Consultant and aim to help teachers and parents achieve their goals in empowering their young ones. Here are some of my academic and professional milestones. I'm so excited that you're here and I can't wait to grow with you!
ELA ASSESSMENT PRINCIPAL EDITOR, CURRICULUM ASSOCIATES
Present
In my current role, I design, edit and review Foundational Skills assessment items for digital and print products, specifically in the area of Early Literacy. I ensure that assessment items are aligned with state standards and the latest research in order to provide educators with the most responsive instructional recommendations.
ADJUNCT LECTURER, HUNTER COLLEGE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
January 2022 - January 2023
Working with teacher candidates has always been a passion of mine. At Hunter College School of Education, I conducted formal and informal observations of teacher candidates in schools across NYC. I supported aspiring teachers through coaching, modeling, and providing applicable feedback.
I also collaborated with instructors in the department, taught on the topics of Autism and IEP writing as a guest speaker, and supported teacher candidates in their clinical experiences.
EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER AND TEACHER MENTOR
2013 - 2021
During my 10 years teaching at the NYC DOE, I designed and implemented differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of all of my learners and ensure that all students had access to the curriculum. My students were mostly on the autism spectrum, had speech and language delays, ADHD, dyslexia and/or down syndrome. I created and implemented Individualized Education Plans, behavior intervention plans and differentiated assessments that held all students to high standards.

I also served as the new teachers' mentor and a cooperating teacher for student teachers from Columbia University. Here I discovered my passion for empowering educators and supporting them in empowering their students.
CHILDREN'S PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES
During my time at the CDD, I truly discovered my passion for special education. I worked closely with autistic individuals from age 5 to 21 who lived in a residential program. I collaborated with service providers to ensure that all children were receiving adequate care and the services they needed including psychological, social and cognitive trainings.
2011 - 2013
TEACHER ASSISTANT & STUDENT TEACHER, VARIOUS LOCATIONS
I began exploring and pursuing the education field while completing my Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Multicultural Studies. During my time at Teachers College, Columbia University, I student taught in a variety of settings including self-contained, inclusive, co-teaching and general education classrooms.

PUBLICATION
Our book is perfect for both teachers and parents navigating special education!
It's an exploration of the ways parents, teachers and academics view the development and schooling of young children with disabilities. It offers an in-depth examination of the common and critical issues that emerge as children and their families first enter the school system, navigate the educational landscape and learn to advocate for their rights.
The stories experiences shared and the literature reviewed address the challenges, successes and opportunities for increased understanding that emerge as parents and educators work together toward a common goal.
